And due to this we are unable to work and day by day we are all are gaining weight. So in these blog I will be suggesting you all a few steps how to reduce body weight or to maintain our body weight during these lockdown 🔐. So here are few steps and they are:-

 Try to cut back on salt: Excess intake of salt is linked to water retention or weight; therefore, it is best to take only the required amount.


Try to have most meals before 7-8 p.m: If you eat most of you food hours before you sleep, your body is able to digest it better. Good digestion is key for healthy weight-management.

Stay hydrated: At times your body intermixes signals of thirst and hunger. Drinking plenty of water helps you keep away from unhealthy snacking, and is good for digestion, healthy kidneys and skin. If plain water bores you, you can try herbal tea and infused water as well.

Another alternative for you can be having jeera water first thing in the morning. Take a teaspoon of cumin seeds and boil them in water. Strain the cumin water. Have it warm. It is very effective in removing abdominal bloatedness and shedding off belly fat.
Go for whole grains

Whole grains mean better fiber, more nutrition and more proteins and calcium. Intaking more fiber is very helpful in maintaining the health of your gut. Also, you must replace refined flour with whole grains as it is very unhealthy and can hamper your digestion.
Stay away from chemical sugar

That is, only eat sugar in its natural form such as it occurs in fruits. Sweets, ice creams, sugar beverages, carbonated drinks and the likes are sugar devils and it is best to stay away from them. They increase your body fat, especially around your abdomen and thighs.
Water, water all day!

Water is the elixir of life. It is a very effective tool to get rid of excess fat. Have at least eight glasses of water a day or follow the following formula to calculate your ideal intake as it can differ for people of different weights.
So, to calculate, check your weight in kilograms and divide the number by 30. Your answer will be your ideal intake in litres. For example, you weigh 60 kilos. Then your ideal water intake is 60/30, that is 2 litres. Say yes to raw foods

Load up on as many fruits and vegetables that you can have in their raw form. Raw foods are rich in fiber and antioxidants and hence, very effective in losing weight.
Sip on hot organic teas

This can include green tea, jasmine tea, cinnamon tea or any tea that is flavoured with natural spices. Sipping on hot organic teas is very helpful in losing weight as they are rich in antioxidants and trace amounts of many other vitamins and minerals.

So as you all seen in my bio that I love dancing like anything but due to my studies I didnt get time to do. So during this lockdown period it gave me a opportunity to start again. Basically I prefer western dance but there are many more dance form available all over India. So here in this blog I would love to share my littlte knowledge that I got on different forms of dance in India to you all.😊

India is one of the most diverse nations in the world with many cultures and traditions. India is also a land of various dancing styles and forms. Indian dance mainly consists of two major styles, folk dance and classical dance. The difference between folk dance and classical dance is the occasions in which they are performed.

Mainly they are:-

1. Classical form

2.Folk dance

3.Tribal fusion dance

Classical dance-

India currently has eight classical dance styles namely—Bharatanatyam of Thanjavoor (Tamil Nadu), Kuchipudi of Andhra Pradesh, Odissi of Orissa, Kathak of North India, Manipuri of Manipur, Sattriya from Assam, Mohiniaattam and Kathakali of Kerala.

Folk dance-

Folk dance is extremely simple. There are more than 30 different types of folk dance in India that are being performed by men and women, irrespective of the age. Out of the 30 folk dance styles, the top forms include Bardo Chham of Arunachala Pradesh, Fugdi of Goa, Garba of Gujarat, Veeragse of Karnataka, Jhumair of Jharkhand, Chakyar Koothu and Oppana of Kerala, Pavri Nach of Maharashtra, Bamboo Dance of Mizoram, Ghoomar of Rajasthan, Bhangra of Punjab, Kolattam of Tamilnadu, Rasleela of Uttar Pradesh, and many more.

India is also a treasure of many tribal areas. These areas have different cultures and traditions. There are many types of tribal fusion dances like Kaadar Nritham, Paravalli Kali, Man Kali, Edaya Nritham, and more.  The dance involves graceful movements, rhythmic flexions of the body with the loud beat, linking arms, and swinging to the rhythm in a beautiful wavelike movement. The dance is known for the pleasing patterns which involve men and women changing positions and perfectly synchronizing the dance moves.

Apart from the contemporary dancing styles of India, the modern dance has come to the public eye. The modern form of Indian dance has a Western connotation. New themes, costumes, music, and moves are all part and parcel of the modern dance. This contemporary dancing style combines genres like jazz, lyrical, ballet, with joyful expressions. The originality, innovation, creativity, and expressive dance techniques are all it takes to be a good performer.

Bollywood dance is also another dancing style that is more famous in India. Bollywood refers to the Hindi film industry. Bollywood dance is the form of dance which can be seen mostly in Indian films. It is a fusion of classical, folk, western, modern, and Arabic dance styles. This is the most widespread dance form that has been recognized globally and has been changing tremendously over the past decade.

Chalazion

So here is my first blog. Basically by profession i am an Optometrist. So I was scrolling or seeing my Google during these quarantine and found a interesting topic which is very common here or in village which is called ”Chalazion”. So i have decided to share my knowledge for you all.

Definition

Chalazion is a small swelling or lump on your eyelid because of a blocked gland. They’re called chalazia if you have more than one. A chalazion is one of the most common types of eyelid lumps.

Chalazia are most likely to happen on your upper eyelid. You can get them on both eyes at once. Chalazia often go away and come back.

Symptoms:-

chalazion starts with a small area that may be red, swollen, and sore or painful when touched. After a few days, the pain usually goes away, and a bump or lump remains.

Watery eyes ,Mild eye irritation,Blurry vision

Chalazion Causes

You have glands throughout your body. They make things that your cells, tissues, and organs need to work the way they should.

The meibomian glands in your upper and lower eyelids make oil that mixes with your tears to moisten and protect your eyes. If the oil gets too thick or if the glands are blocked because of inflammation, you may get a chalazion.

Rarely, an infection can cause a chalazion

Chalazion Risk Factors

Chalazia happen more often in adults than children. They might be more likely if you have:

  • Eyelid inflammation (blepharitis)
  • A skin condition like seborrheic dermatitis or acne rosacea
  • Another health condition such as diabetes
  • Had a chalazion before

Chalazion vs. Stye

It can be hard to tell a chalazion from a stye, another kind of eyelid bump that’s caused by an infection.

Styes happen along the edge of your eyelid, sometimes in the base of an eyelash, but chalazia are usually toward the middle of the lid. A stye is more likely to be painful. It also tends to have a yellowish spot at the center that may burst after a few days.

Chalazion Treatment

Chalazia often go away in days or weeks without treatment. But certain things might speed the process.

Medical treatment

See your doctor if you think you have a chalazion. They may want to check it and tell you how to take care of it to help it heal. They can also suggest certain eye drops or creams to use.

If other treatments don’t work, your doctor can prescribe medicines or give you steroid injections to help clear up the problem. In severe cases, they might need to numb the area and cut it open to drain it.

Home treatment

One remedy is to apply warm, moist heat to the area with a clean washcloth. Your doctor or nurse can give you instructions about how often to do it and for how long.

It might also help to clean your eyelids with a mild soap, such as baby shampoo, or over-the-counter eyelid scrubs.

Gently massage the area to help open the gland. But never try to squeeze or pop a chalazion.
